Cibus Leadership to Present at Prominent Industry Conferences
San Diego - May 2, 2018 - Cibus, a leading trait development and plant breeding company, will share its latest developments and discuss technology in agriculture and the future of food at multiple agriculture and technology conferences in the coming months. Executives will participate in discussions about its Rapid Trait Development System™ (RTDS®) and the latest advances in genome engineering for agriculture.

Climate Change, Agriculture, Water, and Food Security: What We Know and Don’t Know (Dedham, Massachusetts, May 8-9, 2018): The Abdul Latif Jameel World Water and Food Security Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is hosting an international expert workshop discussing climate change, agriculture, water and food security. David Songstad, Director of Cell Biology, will be presenting “Technologies for Crop Improvement to Achieve Food Security” as part of a 40-person panel consisting of experts from around the globe. Songstad will present on May 9th at 8:50 am.
6th Plant Genomics and Gene Editing Congress (Rotterdam, The Netherlands, May 14-15, 2018): Global Engage meetings are at the forefront of life science and health research. The cutting-edge agendas at this conference cover the main advances in genomics and personalized medicine, drug discovery, plant science, human health and technology, as well as commercialization strategies. The line-up consists of internationally renowned speakers from academia, biotech organizations, finance, and the technology and pharmaceutical industries. Greg Gocal, Chief Scientific Officer, will be chairing the Plant Genomics & Gene Editing session and will give a presentation on how Cibus is accelerating plant breeding using the Rapid Trait Development System™ (RTDS®) on May 15th at 4:40 pm.
