Sorghum growers can count on genetic improvements coming soon. Genome-sequencing work will be completed at Energy Dept. labs by spring. The goal: Improve sorghum for biofuel production. Meanwhile, Cibus, a plant genetics company, and U.S. growers are teaming up on a program to improve a range of plant-growth, feed and biofuel traits for sorghum.
